Re: Hotspots where most speeding tickets are issued...

Income generation pure and simple. In December I travelled from Sheffield up the M1 then over the M62 into Lancashire and the whole of the route was covered by average speed cameras and in many sections there was a 50 mph speed limit showing, this was quite unecessary as it was around midnight with ...

Re: Will The Last Macan User Of The Forum Please Turn Out The Lights

Virage and VanB, exciting times! Cannot wait to see your cars! :) Unlike you mine is a very simple and boring GT silver 911 with black interior so not a lot to get excited about other than it’s a 911 GTS which is, in turn, equally less exciting than Virage’s GT3 Having driven a 911 like you have on...

£75K Turbo no tracker, insured via NFU.

A tracker is u/s if you do not have a signal, I had far to many instances of the iPhone not connecting to the car during the free period, hence did not take up their services.

Re: Detailing from Porsche dealer prior to collection

Gtechniq isn't the be all and end all. Gyeon also do excellent finishes. I'd speak to a few detailers - Exclusive Car Care, Richard Tipper, Stuart at F1 Wax and so on. Get a spread of opinion from professionals who have worked on the cars. They'll know the materials and if they maintain the vehicle...

Re: Will The Last Macan User Of The Forum Please Turn Out The Lights

Not all of us are moving into a 911. In all honesty if I moved into a 911 of my own it would be a permanent move, I would be stuck in the thing, they are far to low for this old guy with a bad back and shot at hips. Even the Macan is causing me problems as the seating is just so damn high off the gr...

Re: Adding a 911?

25% of the total price in extras does seem rather a lot to me.

Not speaking German I had to guess at some of the extras.

A great discount of 10-15k Euro or greater would be nice.

Re: Detailing from Porsche dealer prior to collection

If you found this thread https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=5106&hilit=Detailing In my thread I explain about system and equipment. Also there are details on a 10 minute wash which I use weekly or thereabouts with a full wash every month. Yes, a detailed car is far easier to wash tha...

Re: Detailing from Porsche dealer prior to collection

As the saying goes ......... no way Jose. A Pro Detailer will probably take at least a day prepping the car, by prepping I mean claying the whole car and then buffing all the paintwork. The wheels will take the best part of 1/2 a day to clean and buff up off the car. The CS is applied and wheel armo...
