Re: Expectations!

Lakeland at Carnforth is in a rubbish location if one does not get a loaner. It is a hike into Carnforth and there is sweet FA to do or see there. Where they used to be in Kendal was a short walk into town but after 6 hours wondering around the shops, museums and galleries I’d had enough and vowed n...

Re: What Do You Think Will Happen With UK EV Quotas?

Unless they rehash their prior pledge to reinstate the 80% new cars will be EV by 2023 then what else is joe public going to do? By 2030 I will not care, if I am still driving who knows what it will be? Probably a very old Macan Turbo! Manufacturers will be on next gen EV’s by then with hopefully be...

Re: Battery location / type

Yes the battery is in the boot under the spare, you do have a spare don’t you! A Charger/Conditioner is a good investment if you are going to leave the motor for a few weeks. I did not and it was laid up for six weeks………. Flatvas a pancake. No boot release, No door unlocked. Zilch. Secret key unlock...

Welcome.

You have been lurking and not learned that servicing is every two years or whenever the MFD tells you its due.

Re: Neighbours Macan stolen.

It is getting that the best car to have is a cheap mundane runabout. Sort of like a Kia Sportage. Oh, what have I said, a neighbour two doors away has one and that had the window smashed and inside ransacked. No attempt to steal it as far as I know, the guy probably pee’d off someone and it was thei...

Re: Servicing under PCP

Indie if you are returning it at end of term, OPC if you plan to pay the balloon and keep it. Shouldn’t that be the other way around? If you are keeping it, would it not make sense to save a shed load of cash by going Indy, or am I missing something? I would use an Indy if after the PCP term I was ...

Re: Expectations!

Always ask for a loaner, never assume that you will get one.

Often there can be a c6 week or so lead if a loaner is required.

With urgent repairs it is probably best to book it in, then ask for a loaner.

Re: Value now?

What is the stat?

C75% of all Porsche’s ever built are still available to be driven on the road (all be it with a degree of restoration)!

If there is profit to be made from servicing them an OPC or Indy will do just that!
