Carrera T on winter wheels/tyres.

Gave my T its first wash today, since the fitting of the winter tyre/wheel set. Drove 400+ miles at the weekend, much at 7 degrees or below. Going from 20”s to 19”s has not yet yielded any appreciable benefits in terms of road noise or ride comfort. However, the main purpose has been successful so ...

California road trip

Personally I would do Vancouver rather than Seattle, take in the Coastal mountains and then drive in-land through Interior BC, which is all stunning. But as a keen skier I'm very biased! Seattle and Washington looks pretty good too. Wasn't that keen on LA or Vegas, but those are quite different to ...

California road trip

Not a big fan of central LA and San Diego, but the Californian coast and country with lots of small towns are worth exploring all the way to San Francisco, es...

Re: Transfer Box Replacement

Thanks for the replies. Hadn't actually heard of it so hadn't tried it. I'll admit to being a bit sceptical but found the forum topic on it and saw that it surprised a few others in that it actually worked. Anyway, gave it a go and it seems to have worked. Car is transformed. Thanks again... Really...

Re: Why spelling matters

When reading the above mentioned Daily Fail article, this little video appeared in the corner. That is a true meaning of a SUV!

So after 6 months....

For some, a rear wiper on a Cayman (or 911) is anathema and for others it's essential. Whichever camp you fall into they are an eyesore on such a beautiful car. An anathema means 'Something that you hate or dislike'. Do you really mean it's aesthetics are spoiled by a rear wiper? How about the fron...

Bodywork scratch - advice appreciated.

I vote for a smart repair by a reputable body shop. After reversing into a tow bar in my previous BMW coupe, the bumper looked less than perfect. It was not cracked but had a good scrape, so needed a bit of a filler and a lick of paint. The smart repair cost about £200. Nowadays the bodyshops have m...
