Re: Engine Clattering - Fuel

Just a quick update. The mild engine 'rattle' noise has completely gone. Just started using branded fuel, not supermarket rubbish. Occassional fill up with premium fuel such as Ultimate, but any ordinary branded fuel (my nearest is Gulf from a Co-op convenie) seems just as good. Also had first servi...

Re: Engine Clattering - Fuel

No probs. I'll report back after next couple of supermarket non-Redex tank fulls and see about comparison with Excellium. Some say Redex is little better than snake oil but I did get a massive improvement, about 90+% rattle free.

Re: Engine Clattering - Fuel

Started getting the clattering sound from about 12000 miles on the clock. Infrequent to start with but gets progressively worse. Never occurs when engine cold. Happens between about 1100 and1400 revs. Use varied fuels - Shell, supermarket, etc. Just added first litre of oil at 16000 miles, still at ...

Radio display

I've also had the latest software update - made no difference to the dodgy radio graphics. I too got Mercedes-Benz C as courtesy car!Which OPC is going to check wiring, not been mentioned at mine as a possible solution?Very interested in the outcome, looking forward to reading this. I fear this migh...

Porsche Connect registration issues solved

How long are people waiting for the "invitation"? Been told it may be a few weeks - pretty meaningless. Nearly two months waiting now, chasing up OPC makes no difference.

Porsche using outdated Google Earth

It's a bit off that Porsche are selling cars without the latest high quality Google Earth maps, and it looks like Porsche Macan owners are never going to get the latest Google Earth versions as they're released (the date on the GE screen might show e.g. 2016, but the GE maps on the Macan are actuall...

Display problems

Thanks. Thats the theory and might be what is supposed to happen. In practice though the very instant the mirrors move the sun blind moves also. There is no "after" the mirrors fold before the sun blind starts to close. The sun blind will therefore always start to close - the extent depending on how ...

Display problems

Glad to hear it's ok now. I've had unresolved pcm/display problems since last September (car was then 3 months old).Radio station icons fuzzy for some stations, Google Earth gradually getting fuzzy until no longer useable, latest google map won't/not downloaded.Took it to OPC last September to resol...
