Re: Transfer Box
Last year I had my transfer box replaced under warranty and my Dealer explained that they had replaced many as it was a common issue with earlier models (mine is a 2017). It started out as a skipping when pulling away and turning out on to a road. It actually became very noticeable when gently accel...

Re: Another desperate owner with DPF issues
Heres another angle that you may wish to consider.... If I was you I would seriously consider taking this as an opportunity to change from a diesel to a petrol. You may lose up to 7k now but I fear the depreciation later for diesels will be a lot higher. of course if you loved the car and it was a l...

Re: Engine Clattering - Fuel
EXHAUST GAS RECYCLE!. Now this is a surprise. My car was with the Garage 3 days and in that time they diagnosed but didn't resolve. Apparently my exhaust gas recycle path into the air inlet manifold is severely restricted by soot/filth....and on low throttle the air to fuel mixture is affected. I di...

Seems the hydraulic tensioner doesn’t work so well when the engine oil is hot. My friend had an Audi A6 with the same engine and it had the same fault! Will let you know ho...

Re: Engine Clattering - Fuel
Mine does it when the weather is warm. It was so bad I was convinced it was mechanical. As soon as the weather changed to cold the noise disappeared, we wait until it returns but already they believe it’s to do with exhaust gas return being faulty

Banging whilst on full lock
My car has always suffered from sideways slip when accelerating forwards out of side roads but ---- recently when reversing or turning in to parking spaces the slip is so great that its like a banging coming through the floor. Does this sound like its soley down to colder tyres and harder rubber or ...
