Re: Macan ICE expiry
Let’s see who can attack the motorist most, and what devisive mechanisms can we use. Haven’t Paris just voted to charge SUV,s parking there, 4 times the cost of a normal vehicle. If the lefties get their way, and vehicles are totally eradicated from the roads. Should they not stop to think where th...

Re: Wheel query
I have a set of black 20” rs spyders on my gen 3, and they’re the exact same size and offset at winter wheels sold for the gen 3.
They’re off a gen one originally.
Check out the wheels available in the tech equipment catalogue for each generation. A lot of them fit all generations.

Re: Total cost of ownership -newbie
Are you saying you have bought one year old 911's, keep them three years and they have only depreciated £6K a year, as that is not what i am seeing iin the market place. Or are you saying excluding the depreciation they have cost £6K a year - if so why have you excluded the depreciation, it’s the b...

Re: Total cost of ownership -newbie
In my mid 30s, I earnt the equivalent of 100k in todays money and went straight out and bought a 911 a year old for cash. Big mortgage, 2 kids in private school, but savvy with money. If you have no kids. And a 100k income then a used macan should be easy unless you’ve leveraged yourself beyond reas...

Re: Is it better to run oil hotter or cooler?
It’s only around 90c because you’re not loading the engine as they expect you to in sport. If you did it would be 100+.
Oil in all modern engines is designed to run over 100C, normally in the 103-107c range. This boils off any water and the oils good for 130C continuous running.

Re: Desperation is starting to show
Mate of mine just got 17k discount not to cancel his wife’s £130k gts.
Told him he’d still take a bath on it even with that discount, but she wants it.

Re: eFuel
E-fuels are the answer to so many problems. But as with batteries etc they make zero difference until we have an excess of renewable energy. While we produce half our electricity from fossil fuels, electric cars make no difference to climate change. The only minor benefit they offer is reducing NOx ...

Re: MY23 Comfort Entry
Had comfort entry re added to mine a couple of weeks ago whilst in for the recalls. Asked about why coasting doesn’t work, but Solihull response was that the tech checked it and it’s the same as their demo. So works if you keep changing up, but not automatically. Same as the response for lane keep a...
