Re: Porsche PCP calculations

But you have plenty of choices at the end. You guys are talking as if you are forced to trade I n your PCP car to the supplying dealer for whatever they offer you. That is very far from the truth. You can sell private or trade to another dealer whatever you fancy and so long as you pay Porsche finan...

Buy one. They are a lovely drive especially a GTS.

Re: Porsche PCP calculations

Generally a PCP has a walk away option but other offerings that look like PCP may be a balloon so you owe the money no matter what. Clydesdale are used on here by many and are a balloon but they make that very clear at the outset and generally with Porsche residuals being strong it’s not an issue.

Re: Porsche PCP calculations

Why do feel you have more negotiating ability at car change time with a self financed car rather than PCP. The car is worth whatever it’s worth no matter how it was initially paid for and at that stage of no interest to the dealer how it was paid for as it’s just either they pay you for the car or y...

Re: Nearly new purchase - Should transfer box issues put me off?

No I would definitely not let that you off. Yes there are some failures but there are many many more cases of absolutely no problems. You will of course hear on the internet of the failures and not the ones that don’t fail. And a 2018 car has remaining warranty and if you are still concerned you can...

Re: Question: Macan vs Audi Q5 - Anyone considering moving?

Came to the Macan from an SQ5 which is the more common route than Porsche to Audi. That said the new RSQ3 Sportback does look good but financially it won't make a lot of sense due to a relatively high list price and lower residuals.

Re: Smelly all weather floor mats

Certainly not a warranty matter. Are they rubber mats? Can't see a rubber mat would hold such a strong smell especially after cleaning.

Re: Porsche PCP calculations

Some options may have some residual value while others will add nothing. Something like a pano roof likely adds some value as it makes the car more desirable in the trade. When I bought my M135i i added the Plus Pack which costs £1500 but increased the residual by about half that price. On the old 1...

Re: Extend warranty - GTS

At almost £1900 for two years cover using the figures above it isn’t worth it to me. Yes a big repair may cost more but by my reckoning of probabilities it’s more likely a repair will cost less and more than likely there won’t be any repair needed based on my experience to date. Do understand why so...

Re: GTS Residuals - Gen 1 vs Gen2

It does sound like a little dealer rubbish, to be polite. I don't think it will make any difference whether the car is an upgraded S or a downgraded Turbo. What drives residual is generally simple supply and demand. When the GTS Gen 1 was released there were long waits for customers to get their car...
