Re: Macan GTS first service

Just to revisit this thread I started. Service now carried out and people were keen to know if my paperwork noted anything about me supplying oil. Answer is no, all stamped as expected and invoice with no notes or amendments. So that's £100 saved, any of the doom and gloom doubters want a share of i...

Re: Bodywork scratch - advice appreciated.

No need for a new bumper as the plastic can be repaired but it will need a full respray I would be pretty sure. More money for sure but will leave it a perfect repair you are happy with. £400 should do the job.

Re: Bodywork scratch - advice appreciated.

Can't see that being a smart repair as it would never go back to a perfect finish. Full bumper respray required.

Re: GTS exhaust tips

Is changing the tips an easy DIY job? My car was in for service last week and they have submitted a case to Porsche to replace them. As the dealer is a 100 mile round trip that I don't fancy doing I wondered can they send me the tips and I fit myself?

Re: 911 Speedster Concept & Taycan announced by Porsche

Doesn't actually seem that expensive either in the scheme of things! Agreed! Lowered and tweaked suspension, Akrapovic exhaust and engine mapping resulting in a boost from 365bhp to 480bhp (compared to 444bhp for the GTS). £10,339 + VAT. One to consider maybe for when the 3 year warranty runs out.....

Re: Talking of Caymans...

Handed back the Cayman GTS and was truly shocked at how much I disliked it. The noise is far too intrusive but that would be OK if it was a nice noise. However I really disliked the noise , like a rattle old lawnmower lol.

Was so glad to get back in the Macan.

Re: Talking of Caymans...

I have a 718 Cayman GTS today and tomorrow while my Macan is in for service. Only driven it for a few miles in pouring rain at lunchtime but not sure I am smitten yet!

Re: Selling - payment

I sold my wife's Golf GTD last year and got plenty of time waster phone calls. Got one guy to visit and knew he was a no hoper and clearly wanted the car to resell. He looked around it and made absolutely no comment as it was immaculate. He asked my price, I told him it was advertised keenly, he sai...

Re: Selling - payment

Definitely not cash! Bank transfer is the only way and check with your bank the funds are there and can't be recalled. There are some electronic methods that can be recalled so just make sure that is not the case.
