I take back all I wrote about the artificially enhanced sound!

See Paul’s thread “PSE” about the 911 exhaust system design (perhaps some tech expert can link/ref the other thread).

I believe it can be safely extrapolated to Macan!
So now you believe me?

Re: Which Nav version do you have?

^_^Thanks to Dandock, I have just had a call back from my OPC to say YES it is available after all. It was not listed by Porsche GB Parts Dept. under "Sat Nav" but "Technical". They have ordered this SD card and will advise me it's in and be able to do the job. Apparently it will take 2 hour...

Re: Very overdue progress report

I’m planning on doing Snake Pass next week, but it’ll be in the 911. :D

..although if they'd done a "proper" Boxster I reckon I could get that past Mrs P as it's £35K under the Carrera Cab I specced up!
Soon to follow perhaps?

Re: PSE

For those genuinely interested in finding out about PSE (as it was first introduced on the Carrera in 2012) this link will give access to a document which has since been removed from the web. http://oldweb.today/chrome/20030618100418/https://www.ricardo.com/PageFiles/20974/Porsche_WAVE.pdf It is a ...

Tell that to the missus It does my feckin’ head in, all that fiddling to control temp and dry nail varnish in air flow. Do those buttons have fuses?
No, but maybe she does? Or you could try handcuffs?

Re: Niggles at 2 moths

What settings are you using for the system? Settings? There are three buttons indicating direction of airflow and I selected the top one which looks like it should direct air at the windscreen. Is there something else? [/quote] Yes. The air con should be set to Auto and temperature set to around 21...

Re: Niggles at 2 moths

Vent system on Facelifted Macan is a bit different to previous which for me is not the best I have had. There is an odd quirk that can happen but it very much depends upon atmospheric conditions of temperature and humidity in that the car can very suddenly mist up, so it will be interesting to hear...

Re: Facelift 3.0s Exhaust Options

Somebody mentioned on this forum that because the body is very well insulated, the sound-track is artificially enhanced through the sound system. I don't think Porsche do this. I hope that you are right... fewer parts that might break at some point in time. However, I am inclined to believe the rum...
