Re: Front Brake Pad Replacement

I had pads done on our SD at 60k. We are mostly motorway miles so understandable. The garage advised rears need doing at the same time as the weight of these cars means that they brake as much on the rears as they do on the front. I got away with discs - just about. There is a groove cut into the di...

Re: Where to see average fuel consumption read out

When you get to the display that shows the trip information, if you press in the right-hand scroll wheel, you can select the option to see 1 or 2 or to reset the systems back to zero. From memory, 1 is the current trip and resets to zero after a stationary time of two hours (happy to be corrected on...

Re: Pads and discs

The rears need the e-handbrake removing using a computer. However, the programme is the same as for an Audi so any decent Indy will likely have one.

Re: Pads and discs

Me. I bought a set of front pads from Design911 (original parts) and had them fitted by my local indy. He advised that the rears needed doing to as apparently, two tonners use rear pads as much as fronts, He advised that my discs were borderline, but didn't replace them and all looks fine. Car had d...

Re: 2017 SD - Questions to ask OPC?

Check if it has a spare wheel as many don't. If no spare wheel, there won't be a jack either just some gloopy stuff that you put in the tyre to seal it up. See if they will update the navigation software to the latest version too. (No harm in asking). It's pretty low mileage (which is good, but coul...

Re: Tyres tyres bloomin tyres

Kmas - if you look on the sidewall of the tyre, you will see something written on there which will be like 245/40 ZR 20 or similar. This refers to the size of the tyre, the width and aspect ratio. Fronts and rears will be different. As an added complication, some cars came with all season tyres on t...
