Re: AdBlue & Engine Control Faults

Ok! so a independent Porsche specialist that now has my Macan has located the fault as being the Adblue pump and sensor. They recommend changing all the sensors and pipes, while its all out, they are charging me £1,400.00 + VAT to do this repair includes labour. Also Iam now having all 4 discs, sen...

Re: Oil Change at OPC

You can't really blame them, they have their overheads to cover.

It's like asking if you can bring your own steak along to a restaurant as you don't like the price of the T-Bone.

Buy a Porsche and it comes with Porsche sized maintenance bills.

Re: Extended warranty? Porsche or AN Other.

Thanks for the pricing! I’m starting to think that it’ll be more cost effective not to have roadside assistance and just phone the AA once broken down and pay the inflated fee. The last time I broke down was in 2008. I've used it. Recovery gets you to the front of the queue for repairs. I had a war...

Re: Turbo - with Min SPEC or High SPEC diesel S?

Is it possible to check what the Gen 1 Macan Turbo standard specification was? I know I will pay a premium of upto £5K for a high spec Macan when compared to a Macan with low spec and likely this premium will disappear when I come to sell it in 3-5 years, but at least I have paid a discount on thes...

Re: Extended warranty? Porsche or AN Other.

Was contacted today by my local Porsche garage asking was I interested in extending the warranty and was told they no longer charge for the 111 point check. Well, that’s a surprise. I wonder, though, if it applies to all OPCs. It's not that they don't charge for it, they don't require it at the mom...

Re: Extended warranty? Porsche or AN Other.

The big even huge downside on the Porsche warranty is it ties you to Porsche servicing. So it’s not really £1400 more like double when you add in rip-off Porsche service pricing I too am wondering about third party warranties. Certainly AVOID RAC. Just look at their shocking reviews Interesting re ...

Re: Extended warranty? Porsche or AN Other.

I've just extended mine for years 6&7. I had the sunroof blockage sorted last year and a new unit in the PDLS headlight so decent value in my book. I was going to chop mine in but I've decided to keep it for at least 2 more years as at 72k it's done the worst of its depreciation and I'm mulling ...

Re: Turbo - with Min SPEC or High SPEC diesel S?

At 5-10k, buy the Turbo. I have an SD from new, 2016. Mine has 20k of options fitted, 21's, Air, Bose, full leather. Bear in mind they're mostly standard on a Turbo, so you're getting more bang for your buck without options. A Turbo will drink Super Unleaded like Ollie Read but with your mileage, li...

Definitely Crayon, I was right down on my knees having a good look.
