S Diesel MPG

[Unless you are regularly doing long runs or you don't have a local garage for fuel I don't see the point of a 75 litre tank. I like to keep my tank full so would be lugging around an extra 15 litres that I don't really require. Really?15 litres fuel must weigh about 13kg. Might make a very slight d...

S Diesel MPG

I would always go for the 75 litre fuel tank. It's a no brainer. Can't argue with that - although interesting that Steve in his GTS would only get about 360 miles from a 75 litre tank at his 22 mpg whereas SD owners on mpg like yours would get about 700 miles (nearly double) from just a 60 litre tan...

Pondering taking the plunge

Best to try to get a couple of test drives. Too much money to spend on the "wrong" model.

Pondering taking the plunge

Depends on your annual mileage and type of driving. No so many miles and town driving would probably suit the 2.0 petrol.

I've had a couple of Astras - great cars - until I drove the Macan. Not in the same league but there again neither is the price - I remember paying £300 for alloys (4 alloys!!)

Slowest depreciating cars

Agree - figures are perhaps not accurate - but at least we are in the correct ballpark so to speak.

Base SD Thoughts

Anyone interested in a base Macan really needs to test drive another car.Test drive the base Macan. Then test drive a BMW X3 35DThe X3 is almost the same price but, you will get a healthy discout and the X3 will eat the S SD and arguably the GTS is real life driving.A base Macan is a good car but it ...
