Yep it kept him away form the Xbox for a few hours. Think he was inching to get back towards the end and the last hour or so it was just me and the dog. That bit wasn't too exciting in fairness as it was just all putting things back together after we had already tested that the sensors were working.

I have a 10 year old Polo as my runaround for the carparks and taking the dog places. It does get used quite a lot and I really miss not having parking sensors. Don't forget that many private customers are now leasing as that market has taken off. These will be registered as fleet sales so a drop in that total could equate to a drop in new cars for private customers.

I agree it's too soon for EV to be a real alternative. Hybrids that do 20 miles on electric power are basically pointless and only appeal to the company car market where a bargain is to be had. I also test drove an SD and an S Petrol back to back. Exact same route and without hesitation ordered a petrol. They did drive very differently. Message of this thread is that diesel owners generally like their choice and petrol owners generally like their choice. There are a number of diesel owners...

Buy new and finance with someone other than Porsche. Many of us have used Clydesdale Bank and save a load of interest. Think my monthly was £100 more with Porsche so I politely refused their generous offer!!
