Re: Macans are about to be uninsurable!

I’ve worked on enough MOD sites and seen just how safe the target is on the firing range, not sure regular Army would be up to the task, Special Forces more like.

Re: Macans are about to be uninsurable!

It is not just the tracker that thieves need to defeat! There is the alarm system that has to be turned off before entry is gained into the car. Given how the non keyless entry keyfob is supposed to work via coded transmissions I do not see how they can gain entry unless they have captured the locki...

Re: New member

Welcome.

If you search the forum you will find plenty of threads about the issues that there are with a Macan.

Additionally hunt out a copy of Porsche’s 111 point checklist which will give you a basis of what their Tech’s look at in a Macan before an Extended. Warranty is sold.

Re: Macans are about to be uninsurable!

Vodafoney are useless, cannot understand why anyone pays them for anything.

A totally independent Tracker is the way to go if you have to have one and garaging the car is not possible.

Plus a couple of Air Tags hidden in the car.

Re: Porsche 911 Carrera T

911 T @ £137k yet a £43k Volvo can out accelerate it.

Why bother with an expensive impractical cramped Sports Car when at a traffic light GP you are coming second?

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

What? None of them have a collapsible spare? 😂 The collapsible spare in the boot of my Turbo is going to be my Headstone! Ah but will it be used or unused by that distant time ;) ;) Do I have to again post “that” image of my wheel with the screwdriver stuck in the hole? Of course my spare was used....

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

There are currently non on the Approved Porsche listing, that I personally would consider. Yes there are Turbo PP’s listed but with 3, 4 & 5 owners and I certainly would not touch any car with so many owners no matter what deal I could get. What? None of them have a collapsible spare? 😂 The col...

Re: Macan Gen 3 Full Screen Apple CarPlay Modification

Not directly related but Euro NCAP are now baulking at the use of screens and non tactile buttons. They are right that these massive screeens laden with menu after menu are a dangerous trend in vehicle design, with too much time screen prodding just to turn something on ie turn up the heating, turn ...

Re: Macan Gen 3 Full Screen Apple CarPlay Modification

There is a reason why Brits are reluctant on modifying their Porsche cars.

It is the Porsche Warranty.

For many it is simply not worth it for the potential hastle.
