Re: Spare wheel or Glue supplied is sufficient
If spec'd during configuration a collapsible spare wheel kit costs circa £160, if purchased after it's £550, explain that one. Porsche's excuse for the huge difference in price is shipping and storage costs, yeah really..... That is the wise move. As I will keep suggesting, configure with a Spare a...

Re: Porsche Start/Stop Technology
All stop/start functions should have the option in settings to switch off stop/start permanently. With my Audi's the art with start/stop was to come to a halt and reduce pressure on the break peddle before stop/start kicked in which overrode the auto stop function whist still applying the brakes. I'...

Re: Hello - Looking to buy
I'm not sure about BMW but my Audi's and Merc's came with 3 years connect services whereas with my Macan, Porsche Car Connect is only free for a year and Car connect 2 years, thereafter they're charged services. This is just one more example of Porsche draining every penny they can from Porsche owne...

Re: Hello - Looking to buy
hum, that's not great reading. Perhaps my wife has the right idea staying with BMW, or is it just that we only read negative things as people in general do not tend to write praise? Ian Hi Ian, you'll receive good and bad feedback on owner experiences, mostly good, most of the points I've highlight...

Re: Hello - Looking to buy
I purchased a Macan 3 months ago at which point I was new to Porsche after years with Audi and Mercedes. I love the Macan look, it rides better than my previous SQ5 but not as nice as the GLC AMG Line Premium Plus I owned. To say I'm alarmed at having to have the transfer box replaced under warranty...

Re: Dashboard Compass
I agree it must be tied in with GPS/SatNav so no influence from local magnetic fields....brains1900 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 6:45 pm I think that the dashboard compass just uses GPS as a feed !

Re: Battery problem
Mine reads 14 volts all the time I'm driving it. It's my understanding that to maintain a 12 volt lead acid battery at full capacity it should be charged at a minimum of 13.8 volts therefore charging at 13 volts won't maintain full capacity amp/hour rating. The knock on affect would be shorter batte...

Re: Dashboard Compass
How accurate is a compass inside a car given it relies on sensing a weak magnetic field that will be influenced by other magnetic fields inside a car like speakers and those generated by electromotive forces eg relay operation and current flow. In addition to these issues the compass will sit inside...

Re: New Owner - Macan S 2019
I’m paying approx £750 with NFU for a Macan and 911. £637 for one Macan seems a lot to me 🤔. I queried the price with NFU who informed me the calculation is automatic based on data entered, I suspect my Macan living on the drive though I live in a low risk area won't help. Since when were garages f...
