+1 Agreed the new light bar is a feature of all new Porsches ,so those without are looking dated, just the effect Porsche wants I am sure - just my opinion, like wheels and colours, personal preference.

Re: 2018 Gen 1 Macan S or a 2019 Gen 2 Macan

Hi all, As per the title, what is the opinion on buying; Gen 1 2018 Macan S Or Gen 2 2019 Macan They are both around the same price. It's the performance of the S Vs the updated Macan Before this I was happy enough driving a 2000 ford focus so performance isn't the main driving factor per say. But ...

Re: 2020 GTS residuals / spec

Considering pulling the trigger on a factory order GTS. Had a lovely spec turbo last year I sold and missing the Porsche brand. http://www.porsche-code.com/PMWLYPJ7 I’ll be buying outright and unfortunately my budget can’t stretch to a turbo, so the GTS will do. Is my spec too marmite? Extended red...

Re: Fuel for GTS (2021)

Whilst you are at it, why not wash your car in distilled water...wouldn’t want the risk of a non ph balanced water impacting the shine of your high performance paint shine! The whole “what fuel is best” debate is the biggest con of the last decade! Is your car highly tuned, way above manufacturers ...

Re: Winter Wheels on 21" to 20"

Agreed the 21" do look better and ride comfort is better on the higher profile 20" Spyders, I think I notice more compared to previous cars because of the weight of this cars compared to others I have had, I also feel a it more lean in corners and a bit less connected to the road feedback;...

Winter Wheels on 21" to 20"

Wheels changed this week as temps have dropped. I really like my 21" turbo wheels, they fill the arches, look great and I prefer the lower profile tyre look. I don't have air and am happy with the sporty connected feel to the road when on the twisty B roads. I picked up some 20" silver Spy...

Re: Shower Screen & Glass Cleaner

Hi

I have done this to our shower screen that we have had for a few years now. Coatings need topped up so I give a good clean with Gtechniq W5 dry and apply the G1 glass coating - works great, do it a couple of times a year.

Re: Porsche Connect + Data Connection with iPhone

Following on from my earlier post, I would like to know if anyone has managed to get their Gen 2 Macan setup so they can connect to their iPhone to use Porsche Connect Apps AND to use their iPhone as the internet connection? It appears you need to connect the Phone to the Car's WiFi hotspot to use ...

Re: Getting online and setting the car up...

Thanks, yes I do plan to stream music. I had rather naïvely assumed that I could use the data on my phone to stream it (as it appears to need my phone connected to it, in order to stream it). Seems strange it needs your phone connected to the car's wifi to make the apps work (am guessing this is ju...

Re: Spacesaver wheel

I think you'd be lucky to find a breakdown patrol with a suitable space saver. My brother recently got a puncture on his SQ5, which has smaller wheels than our Macan, and they had to put it on a low loader from the lake district as they didn't have a spare and couldn't find a mobile tyre fitter wit...
