Re: Gen 2 GTS Ordered
My GTS is not due until April (Jealous) - will need pics on arrival and would be great if you could give thoughts on the drive, particularly the exhaust with GPF vs your current gen 1. We have a GPF on our 718 and its sounds pretty good, better in fact than the non GPF car we test drove actually.

Re: GTS Residuals - Gen 1 vs Gen2
[/quote] It would be completely unfair :) options depreciate 3 or 4x faster than the car, but without certain options a car can be hard to sell. Thus a GTS with 6k of options (a modest amount for these cars) would be a good idea depreciation wise, an S with 18k of options would not! If you are reall...

Re: Gen 2 GTS Ordered
I had the same choice to make and decided not to go with rails as I was looking for cleaner sport lines rather than the more utility look of an SUV - both worked. I also had the same choice of the black classic wheels and changed to Turbo wheels; once you get drawn into the black contrast thing, the...

Re: GTS Residuals - Gen 1 vs Gen2
PaulR - thank you for the clarification I now understand why the comment on "tweaked" S from the dealer may have caused some offence - appologies from the newbie if this was taken the wrong way . So basically the base and S models have been "downgraded" - if you see the Audi sing...

Re: GTS Residuals - Gen 1 vs Gen2
I checked out the engines on the configurator after talking to the dealer and it looked to me like they were not the same. The S with a 3L twin scroll single turbo vs the GTS with a 2.9L twin turbo, apparently also used in the Audi RS4. So is this incorrect and they are both the same, as I think I a...

GTS Residuals - Gen 1 vs Gen2
With a GTS on order, which I am assured has great residuals and that convinced me to go from an S to GTS. We reserved 2 days after the release date so I can’t use the finance example to get an idea of the residuals, like I can with the S. I am also interested to those with more Macan knowledge tham ...

Re: 21” turbo wheels vs 21” sport classic wheels
My current build has the black classics on sapphire, which we saw in dealers and looked stunning - as a rule I dislike black wheels. I have since seen a few on the road and am going in tomorrow to change to the turbo wheels as I guess I just like the silver and black not for me. On dark cars it does...

Re: Pan roof/Options - Dealer or customer driven?
I think on balance and expecting to keep the car for 4 years (purchasing not buying on PCP) the risk of problems vs the benefits’ through ownership and increased residual mean I will most likely keep this one in my spec. I think looking at what most folks choose about 70% are pretty consistent (seve...

Re: Pan roof/Options - Dealer or customer driven?
What’s in it for the dealer if they get the pan roof and other nice extras added? I don’t think it’s the minimal margin on the extra invoice value, instead it’s when the car comes back at end of the PCP or for trade in, then they get a much easier car to sell, which has all of those expensive "...

Re: Pan roof/Options - Dealer or customer driven?
Thanks to all who responded to this thread - this is a great forum very helpful responses. So I decided to do a Porsche approved used GTS and S model only search and looked at the equipment filter output (115 cars found). This is pretty interesting, not sure how many of these were dealer spec vs cus...
