Selling my 2017 Macan SD

Folks with the changes to BIK tax next year I am looking to sell my Macan and take a company Tesla until the Taycans become available. So a few quick questions: Whens the best time to sell, as its one of the last low road tax cars it would be better to sell it before April Apart from Autotrader and ...

Re: Extended warranty claims

This really does not sound like Porsche, prior to purchasing the Macan in 17, I ran a 08 911 under the extended warranty for over 5 years and 80k miles and they were faultless. The only thing that was not covered was the clutch which is a wear item. The car would go in for a service and they would c...

Re: The future?!

Having seen the nightmare & overspend in Edinburgh whilst they were trying to put in the tram system (which they had ripped out 50 years previously) the cost of this type of transport will make the most expensive of expensive of Porsches look cheep!

Re: E10 Fuel

You do know depending on where you live even 97Ron will be B5?

Ethanol is bad really bad for old bikes with plastic tanks but all cars & bikes have been designed to run on B10 for ages

Re: Headlight advise.

As I said more and more MOT stations will fail both aftermarket LED & HID, I have no doubt that if i tried 10 stations 50% of them would have passed 50% would have failed. As far as I am aware no manufacturer used a LED bulb, every one of them uses as sealed unit which is type approved, so its v...

Re: Headlight advise.

You will find more and more MOT stations are failing aftermarket LED and HID lamps.

I had to remove the LED lamps from my kids car at his last MOT - High output halogens are your best option

Re: Macan Roof Bars

Yes that's exactly how they work - these pads are quite common now and assuming paint is clean it should not mark - my car is black so i would notice. What i did not like is the deformation of the door rubber when the rack is fitted but it does go back into shape when removed. In summary it works an...

Re: Macan Roof Bars

Yes I have the Thule bars fitted to carry the ski box as I deliberately did not spec the roof rails for the few times I have the rack on.

It works but is a bit of a faf as the position of the front is quite precise tbh.

Re: Headlight advise.

You will also need the LMC module as a minimum
Is your car fitted with headlight washers?

It is certainly possible but it is likely to be expensive and not worth the hassle.

Re: Advice please for dash cam

I have had a few Nextbase units and both kids and the wife have them in their respective cars and they have all been great.

I now have a blackvue 750 and it really is the next level.
