Re: New Turbo Performance Pack

Which M5 did you have?

I don't think the Macan is supposed to be any slower than the V8, I remember thinking the stats suspicious as the m5 has 100HP more and must be lighter?

Re: Non Dealer Tyres

Watch out for extras, when our local mobile quotes the price is what you pay. When the garage fits they add on for valve, disposal and fitting.

I prefer the stubby valves where available.

Re: I love heated seats and wheel

My side's usually ventilated and I love that.

Still warmish down south but my OH has used the heated seats; they were the most important option for her.

Re: Storm Brian

My 928 was in for some AC work last time we had a serious hail storm. The storm was shown on the news going straight over the site. Cricket ball sized stones! Luckily it was forecast and the workshop managed to squeeze all cars inside. Next door neighbour wasn't so lucky, it took out 20 acres of app...

Re: NFU Insurance

I've got a protected no claims with the NFU, the uninsured driver cover is backed by ABI or similar iirc. They certainly used to allow you to choose repairer but I think you only guarantee a courtesy car with their preferred repairers, could be worth reading your policy document. It's 20 years since...

Re: New Turbo Performance Pack

Slightly obsessive here so i'd read the manual before the car arrived, thus ran it in gently trying to keep below 4k rpm and certainly will never go flat out on cold oil. Working up to not worrying about that too much but in reality you can't use full power for many seconds at a time; it's very easy...

Re: New Turbo Performance Pack

Just cleared the 1000 mile run in period today, it does go rather well in Sport mode when you put your foot down hard.

Beware and enjoy!
