Re: 2017 Macan Turbo For Sale - very high spec
Now sold to Cridfords via carwow. Shame as a private buyer would have got a bargain. Haven’t sold a car privately for 10+ years and it was an interesting experience dealing with the scammers! Probably the right way to go. Sold many cars privately over the years but a couple of years back sold my wi...

Re: Turbo or Gts gen 1,2
Had both. The Gen1 Turbo has a 3.6 Porsche lump, whilst the Gen2 GTS has a 2.9 Audi. Both similarly quick but the Turbo delivered with a powerful thump when floored, whilst the GTS is certainly better planted, better sounding and more fun to drive. After the first few weeks of ownership I considered...

Re: Service Book
Should definitely have a service book for Gen1 and 2 included in my case. OPC can print out a record. Unfortunately Porsche don’t have the same system as e.g. Jaguar, where all you need is the Vin and you can view any car service history yourself.

Re: Long time admirer, first time owner
Looks like a big spec, can see a sport design package, 21” turbo wheels, think it’s Agate with a pebble interior, 18 way and BOSE, all good. Old school CD still useful and a walnut trim 🤔 but no pan roof…Some would say that’s also a benefit. Enjoy 👍 Wouldn’t SD pack have SD mirrors? No, SD mirrors ...

Re: What a (good) day
Decent spec, black is hard work but looks great when kept well and good call on the GTS interior. Wouldn’t bother with the puddle lights but definitely add surround view.

Re: Servicing under PCP
It would depend, if the supplying finance company had any specific stipulations? Always must be maintained as per manufacturer spec, genuine parts used and complete service record would be a minimum. Best to read all of the small print first.

Re: 21” vs. 20” Ackerman Effect
I don't believe that the effect is an issue at all. The car doesn't get damaged in any way It is just the combination of various physical geometry factors will mean that wheels will scrub more when on full lock and even more so when the weather is cold and sidewalls less forgiving . Having lower pr...

Re: Gen 3 Macan S Oil Service
I've booked an oil change today to make sure I get it done before the Leipzig trip in June. Loan car offered and accepted but no mention of any cost attached (yet). Stockport have quoted £335.05 for the oil though, a pleasant surprise! Sounds like around £50 for oil and filter and an hours labour? ...
