Re: Coolant System Failure warning light

They believe it’s a faulty coolant temp sensor and have quoted a further £416 + VAT to repair. That's a one hour job (if you also drain/refill the coolant), and the sensor should be about £20 - I'd definitely look for an independent, but check first that they have suitable (Porsche compatible) diag...

Re: Rear Seat Ventilation Controls

Want to check I am not missing anything here... I have just discovered that my rear seat ventilation does not seem to be working. I am talking about the vents coming out the central tunnel for the rear passengers. Having never sat in the back when the car has been in use it's not something I have e...

Re: Music file format?

I'm ripping my CD collection so I can stick it on a USB C stick and play in my car. If I rip them formatted to FLAC (lossless) will they play in the car through the pcm (Gen 2 Macan) or do they have to be mp3 or another format? I believe PCM 3 can't but 4 and 5 can. Why not rip 1 track and see. PCM...

Re: GTS Stolen

...Nowadays a more likely technique is signal blocking as owners walk away while pressing the lock button the signal is blocked and therefore the car is not locked and obviously alarm not set. This allows the crooks to access the car and crucially the OBD port through which they can clone a new key...

Re: 103 and 107 load rated tyres

^^^ there is such a plethora of tyre brands, patterns and types that this would now be a huge listing. Nexen, Yokohama etc are now OE and N approved for some models. Plus the traditional ones - Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli. The best thing is to look at an individual tyre manu...

Re: Trickle charger but no mains power

If there's mains lighting in the underground garage then it would be pretty simple (and cheap) to run a single fused spur to a mains socket. Of course other owners may complain that they are funding your electricity, but current draw would be minimal.

Re: 4 faults all at once. Any idea what's broken?

If you are still on the original battery I would have a look at that. I let my battery go quite low once and had a similar barrage of fault lights when I eventually managed to get it re-started.

If not battery, perhaps look at alternator/charging system.

I have used AirTags as a tracker. In really cold (sub-zero) temperatures the battery only lasts about a month, if that.
