Re: Porsche inflation (sometimes best not to look)

My previous PCP example assumes you find the cash to pay off the GMV. If you were to take out a 4-year loan on the same interest rate to pay off the car and get out of the PCP loop, we have a 4th figure. Cost for: 1. Cash buyer = £72k 2. Repayment loan = £86k 3. PCP with GMV paid cash = £93k 4. PCP ...

This shows why PCP is so expensive.

Cash = £72k
Repayment cost = £86k
PCP cost = £93k

I imagine many people who use PCP focus on the monthly payment and not the TCO.

Re: Porsche inflation (sometimes best not to look)

It's a bad idea to buy a depreciating asset on finance. It's a worse idea if that finance is PCP, the most expensive finance product out there. Given the popularity of PCP though, I presume most people don't understand the product, do it because everyone else does it, badly want something they canno...

Re: Gen 1 to Gen 3 differences

We've been switching back and forth between our GenH1IIS and two GenH1III loan models. Three loan cars for a week each. As a result I can say without doubt the order is: 1. 20" steel (PASM) 2. 20" air 3. 21" air Interesting. I certainly felt the 21" wheels +15% (?) stiffer suspe...

Re: Leaf Blowers for Drying???

I've got the Bosch 18v 'Power for all' leaf blower, primarily for blowing leaves. However, I occasionally use it on my car wheels, mirrors etc and it does the job. However, if you're wanting something specifically for the car, I'd recommend a dedicated car dryer if you can get one for a decent price...

Re: Gen 1 to Gen 3 differences

Back on topic, congratulations on the new car #Deucedeuce. I've had all three variations of the generation 1 GTS model and, frankly, haven't noticed a perceptible different in performance due to ever increasing horsepower figures. What I have noticed though is that the 20" wheels perforce signi...

Re: Gen 1 to Gen 3 differences

My Gen2 S is apparently a "Generation H1 II" as per the Porsche used car finder (screenshot below). H1 means you have a generation 1 Macan. As with all Porsches, the letters after reflect the refresh. II means it's the mid-life refreshed model. Unlike most Porsches, the generation 1 Macan...

Re: Macan EV

Tell me Porsche hasn't put fake vents on the back of the 'turbo' model? Hard to tell from the pictures, but I suspect they're fake.

Re: Macan EV Official Launch Date!

Everyone talks about global carbon emissions. For me, the ultimate need to go electric is because we cannot indefinitely run things off a depleting oil resource. There may be around 50 years of oil left at current consumption. But it doesn't make sense for humanity to use it all up in that time - or...
