Pronunciation

We were told at the Silverstone day that Porsche originally wanted it to be pronounced with a short second 'a' - but then there was the unfortunate loss of a certain Madeline McCann, hence they altered the pronunciation to be more like Macaaaan.
Sounds believable?

Crazy spec?

Most of the Germans here just get a winter set on 18s, and save their 21s for the Summer! Personally, I'm getting 20inch all seasons - which are legal in Germany over the winter but just not as good as full winters. I am then keeping my 15 year old VW Golf (with full winters) on the road for another...

I saw seven in Munich last weekend in less than 2 hours spent in the centre - would've been great for choosing colour/wheel options if I hadn't already locked down (but no regrets thankfully!).

Roof Bars?

I have roof bars because I like the option of using them .... the parents are getting old and need a lot of ferrying about and would be gutted to need a roof box but not be able to use one if i needed to.
Try as I may I just can't persuade my parents to climb into the roof-box at their age.

Hello all...

And you shouldn't ignore the extra range that the diesel MPG translates to. I was shocked by the full tank range of 242 miles in one of goran59's photos - my motorbike does more than that with its 21 litre tank! I'd have to fill up 3 times on the way to the channel ports!Assuming 70 litres useable (...

I hear what others say about the bigger wheels filling the arches but rolling circumference is the same on all the wheels, so gap from top of tyre to wheel arch should be the same.

But of course the 20 or 21 inch wheels are wider as well, which helps 'fill the arches' laterally! Smile

Welcome ToyMachine,
Lots of good logic in the spec listed. The Pano roof definitely does reduce the headroom, from memory it's about 2cm, and only really a problem if you want to carry grown-ups in the back.

Help with spec

I'm getting the 'Diesel' badges removed for free! I wanted to keep the 'Macan S' at the back, so I didn't go for the de-badging option!

After sales-some mats for footwells / boot advisable

I thought carpet footwell mats are included in the price anyway. It's a second set of rubber winter mats that may be worth asking for as a freebee. (Normally £82.25)
