Re: Taycan Official Launch

I'm at the Rudskogen race track in Norway this weekend for the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia event. It is also being hosted by Porsche Norway with various things to excite the public, including simulators, off-road rides, static displays and .... a Taycan. The queue to see the Taycan has been over...

Re: macan Turbo Launch sheet

I have a Cayenne S which has the same engine and whilst I am still 'running in' the engine is really good. The exhaust is quite quiet however once you accelerate beyond 2,500 revs, the engine gives a real throaty roar and plenty of urge. The manual says to keep the revs below 4,000 for the first 3,0...

Re: Bye bye Macan

Well, I wasn’t expecting that mpg (admittedly lots of motorway driving through restricted speed areas).

Re: Bye bye Macan

"The Cayenne does look nice but a bit short on power I think..."

Mmm, well mine has 440 bhp so once it has a few miles under its wheels and I open up the taps, I will let you know.

Re: Bye bye Macan

I did mention the 'd' word and with success. I was originally going to order a new model and to my own specification, for delivery in October. However, the dealer had 6 Cayenne S cars coming from Porsche with varying levels of specification, so I chose one and registered it in August. The registrati...

Re: Dozens of annoying things about...

Completely agree regarding the fog lights - a really stupid bit of design.

Regarding power outlets for cameras, etc., my new Cayenne has a power socket tucked in the corner of the passenger footwell, which I have used for my dash cam.

Re: Bye bye Macan

Hi Pivot, I found the Macan slightly claustrophobic (probably due to having had two Cayennes before), but also I wanted bigger boot space. Most of my mileage is long journeys across the U.K. and then staying in a hotel for a few nights.

Re: Contrasting LV and NFU

Just swapped my Macan for a new Cayenne S. I was insured with the RAC but switched to Saga and got a 10% saving. I had a query regarding NCD, spoke to a charming lady on the phone who was very helpful. Saga gets my vote.
