Re: Annual oil change: Gen2 S

Mine is saying oil change in October 2021 (roughly a year after I bought it from OPC who did a service as part of the deal).

I wonder if I take it out on a few long runs post lockdown whether that’ll push it out too. I’d rather the car adjusts it based on use than be fixed at 12 months.

Re: Lockdown

RE PS plus. It does depend on what you have been used to and the size of your wheels how light the steering gets. Mine has 21s with power steering plus and doesn’t feel light at any speed compared to previous jags and land rovers I’ve had. Also it could be psychological but when I don’t have it in t...

Re: Macan build video

Very interesting.

Must admit, with all the jokes about crayon being a primer awaiting its actual colour coat the ‘electric deposition coating’ process at 22mins into the video looks almost identical to crayon

Re: Water spots on the hatchback cover

Well fingers crossed that’s fixed it. Yours does line up with the grommets unlike mine so you’re probably right, it may be coming from somewhere else.

It looks worse having taken the parcel shelf into good lighting so I’ll get it booked back in again.

I’ve noticed a golden reflective tint on mine. I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s the heated windscreen which uses some kind of foil element as opposed to the wire element on Ford’s and JLR.

Re: Water spots on the hatchback cover

Also, if you do the above, check that there is no water within the rubber grommets themselves as the water could be travelling through from the tailgate structure itself, running down the cables when you open the tailgate. If water is inside the tailgate then perhaps it is coming from a leaky rear ...

Re: Average age of macan driver?

I’m 35 and bought my first Porsche last year (base Macan). Started driving at 18 with a 94 plate corsa, and then went on through a bunch of makes (Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Bmw, Vw, Audi, Lexus, and more recently Jaguar and land rovers). Must admit I have always stayed clear of ‘performance’ cars due to ...

Re: Cracked windscreen

Agree, the heated windscreen option is worth it and much better implementation than the Ford and JLR wired element that can get distracting in direct sun light. Would also agree on the comment about the standard blower doing the job which works for some but I’m not an early bird so any time saved wh...

Re: Strange CarPlay Disconneciton Quirk

Me too. Although the Bluetooth in the Macan is quite advanced with it bringing up emails, messages, and album artwork. I can even click into the track list on the MFD to select a song. My previous cars have never been able to index this stuff over Bluetooth. I also have a car2play adapter but it isn...

Re: Purchased facelift 2019 Macan 2.0

The Evoque is a really comfortable drive, especially with all the tech. Glides over bumps even on standard suspension. My mrs’ even has a high res camera as the rear view mirror. It just doesn’t come close to even my 2.0 Macan for driver engagement. In hindsight, we should have paired the Macan up w...
