Re: 2020 S vs GTS
Just wanted to hear your thoughts on 2020 Macan S vs GTS. There's different reasons people end up with a GTS, including: 1. Those who heavily spec a base or S model and end up with something costing similar to a GTS. 2. Those who want it because its the sportiest car in the Macan line-up. (Not mean...

Re: 2020 S vs GTS
The other big factor for me was the higher potential residuals on the GTS vs the S. Also the final value of the car is calculated from the list price; If this list price around £8k of extras you would buy anyway then you should see this reflected in the trade in price/GFV - if it’s got 40% deprecia...

Re: New GTS Reviews
Auto Express' print edition No.1,613 dated 12-18 Feb 2020 on pages 30-31 gives the new GTS a 4,5* rating. :ugeek: My copy shows 4.5 stars. Very odd that some copies are showing 5 stars. Even if they made a 'mistake' I wouldn't have thought they could be bothered changing it. Mine's a subscription c...

Re: 20” v 21” wheels - overall size difference?
As Guy points out, there's very little difference between the 20" and 21" wheels. Many people say the 21" wheel fills the wheel arch better, but they're talking rubbish. The reality is that the 20" wheel is the overall biggest size - by a whisker. But - because you have a slightl...

Re: New GTS, March build date
Not all launch cars are on air................................ I understand all the 21" wheels are air, and the 20" wheels are a mixture. I'm intrigued more than anyone else to find out what specs the reviewers are testing against, in particular to find out how the suspension setups compa...

Re: new GTS
I thought, by law, quoted car prices had to be the 'on the road' price. Clearly that's not the case if Porsche isn't doing it. Potentially rather annoying to discover you've got an extra grand and a half to pay!!

Re: New GTS Reviews
Interesting that he was driving a car on 21” wheels & steel springs, and he said that air suspension wasn’t needed to enhance ride comfort. ;) Even more interesting is that he's mistaken! This particular car does have air suspension. It doesn't help us all make the correct decisions when motori...

Re: New GTS, March build date
As before, the chassis is treated to a 15mm drop over the standard car, making the GTS the lowest model in the Macan range - although if you go for optional air suspension the ride is only 10mm lower. This is incorrect. Air suspension GTS cars are an extra 10mm lower than the steel suspension ones....

Re: Gen 2 - 2.0 VS 3.0 S - MPG - residuals?
The 2.0L model exists in order to attract new customers to the Porsche brand. In particular people who might be put off by a 3.0L V6, as well as in some APAC countries where these are significantly cheaper to tax. It's perfectly good enough for most people's needs. Its fuel economy is around 10% bet...
