Re: Drainage ducts need cleaning Sir. Kerching!!

Interesting reading through this thread. After finding my A pillars damp my local OPC diagnosed blocked front ducks. They had my car in at short noticed, fixed, dried out and returned spotless in 3 days all covered under the used car warranty without a question. I only have experience of my local OP...

Re: Wheel alignment check / headlight not working..

Sorry another question.. Assuming its a standard Halogen 55W H15 bulb, do people buy them from the OPC or just pop to Halfords and the like? Guess OPCs will be expensive but will be 'approved' therefore no potential warranty squables The manual will tell you what bulb it is. Any reputable make will...

Re: Wheel alignment check / headlight not working..

I think probably coincidence rather than conspiracy as adjusting the suspension shouldn't take them near the headlight wiring. If replacing the bulb doesn't fix the problem then take it back to the OPC. BTW, some owners don't lift the bonnet during the whole time they own the car.  Thank...

Wheel alignment check / headlight not working..

Ok this may be a dumb question but stay with me. I’ve not had my Macan long enough even need to lift the bonnet yet so before I investigate… I had the wheel alignment checked (non OPC) last week on MY17 SD where they adjusted the near side front. Ever since, the near side halogen dipped headlight bu...

Re: Warranty & minor dink repairs

Yes, such is modern streetlife that I’ve had occasion to use them too. I know where this is going re cost differential and am hoping, maybe, to play the warranty card as leverage to use my repairer of choice. I’ve searched for Ding Master reviews and the Bristol branch seems OK but the Swindon one ...

Re: Apple Carplay – retro fit cost ?

I used to be a Luddite until I started using car play for Waze. Now I would def look for it in my next car and wouldn’t bother speccing the manufacturers nav. I don’t listen to music in the car too often but when I do I now use the Spotify app via car play..... This is why I've been looking at addi...

Re: Apple Carplay – retro fit cost ?

Thanks for the replies. My car does have sat nav and voice control so seems my OPC is quoting list for the software and a ‘trying our luck’ amount to install it if it’s literally just a software upgrade, which I assume can’t be that hard. I’ll see if my OPC can do better or if not I’ll try some othe...

Apple Carplay – retro fit cost ?

Hi all, My local OPC quoted me £788 inc to add Carplay to my MY17 Macan SD. He says the software is £305 meaning they want £483 in labour costs to perform the upgrade. The software cost was what I expected but labour does seem very expensive just to upgrade the software. Has anyone had this done at ...

Sure. They are called Autoasylum and also based in Swindon, I'll let you know how I get on.
