Re: First expense - coming up… what to do?
Whatever you do, for the love of God don't go to Charles Ivey. When I got my boxster I brought it there to have discs and pads done. They sheared the bolts in the hub carrier, then destroyed the carrier completely trying to bodge a repair. Cost me £3K in the end and they treated me like dirt when I...

Re: First expense - coming up… what to do?
I replaced my pads and discs during the first lockdown last year. I'd lasted an amazing 60k on the originals from new. Hatfield OPC were only servicing key workers cars(I'd imagine hospital consultants are the only ones fitting that description) so I went to my local garage that looks after my van ...

Re: New Joiner to the Forum
Hi Neilly Welcome to our friendly forum. I've got an SD I bought new in March 2016. I'm on 83,000 miles now and never had a DPF problem. My commute is 12 miles each way with a couple of trips of around 100 miles a week. Only issue I've had is the usual transfer box replacement under warranty so look...

Re: Gen 3 Photos.
I have to say, I really don't like the new gearstick design minus the gaiter. The plastic base looks really cheap and nasty.

Re: Retro-fit heated steering wheel?
Yep, definitely a new steering wheel. There's a button on the base to turn it on and obviously a heating element inside. Best bet would be to check breakers yards online. Chances are if it's in a breakers yard the airbag has gone bang though. I'd wager Porsche would charge you the thick end of £1k f...

Re: Thinking of selling Macan SD
Sounds a bit low. I've got a 2016 SD with around the same options and 77k. WBAC came out with £27,500 for mine. Private sale should really get you around £31k.

Well it's 25c here today in the Home Counties so unless you're in Norway I'd say yes.

Re: Front Brake Pad Replacement
Hi, My brake pad warning lights just came on today for first time at 31k miles. I hear that I could go on for another 2000miles before actually changing them on a forum. Is this correct? I have just renewed my warranty - if I take it to a Porsche specialise to change the pad and disc instead a OPC ...

Re: It's the big day tomorrow!!! Couple of quick questions...
Don't bother with the insurance. As previously said, ALA cost me about £200 for 3 years when I bought mine. Only winners there are the OPC with £1,000 commission.
