Bit the bullet and went for it!

1. WRONG. GTS with Air sits 5mm lower in Normal mode than GTS with steel. In AS Low GTS will sit -15mm compared to GTS Steel.Another example of Porsche doing a less than sterling job in explaining this (or, at least, explaining it in a way that is easy to understand). From the Macan microsite: Sport...

Front tyre feathering (saw-tooth wear) after 3000

Just hope I can get the PEC at Silverstone booked before I go. As I can't make up my mind on Air or just PASMI guess we're going away from the original thread topic now, but hopefully that's a sign of a healthy forum!I can only go from my experience in stepping from the M3 to an S Diesel with 21" ri...

Front tyre feathering (saw-tooth wear) after 3000

Coincidently Shortshift I'm trading in a F80 M3 for my MacanInteresting; I suspected I wouldn't be alone. Like you, I have a GTS on order (though not yet locked down) but I have picked up an S Diesel as an 'interim car'. Very different, of course, from the M3 but I find it an astonishingly competent...

Front tyre feathering (saw-tooth wear) after 3000

One of the reasons I raised this topic in the first place is because I have experienced this 'feathering' issue with Conti's before (admittedly on a BMW 5 series, not a Macan) and when I switched away from Conti's on that car the problem went away. I suspect it is to do with the design of tread patt...

GTS - Who has, who expects who is waiting ....

Wbac BTW offered 54000 for my car which cost 68000 last may 1st with 13k miles.I can think of many vehicles that cost £68k new and lose a lot more than 20.5% over the first year of ownership and 13,000 miles of use... If that's your worst case, I think that's not too bad!If you really need to liquid...

Not Moaning But.....

First thing I did when getting in the Macan was to disable the stop/start found it really annoying.
StrveW

Are you saying that it is possible to permanently disable stop/start (or are you just switching it off, every time, before driving)?

Front tyre feathering (saw-tooth wear) after 3000

Sounds like the tracking is out of alignment.Have you hit any potholes, kerbs etc? Take it back to your dealer, if its a fault a new tyre should be in order after the alignment is checked and adjusted.Yes, I will be doing this (getting the alignment checked), but I am interested to know if others a...

Front tyre feathering (saw-tooth wear) after 3000

A little evidence of this feathering on my pirelli 21"s but they've covered 8K miles mostly motorways 3mm rear and 4mm fronts (6mm new)

Is your car showing this just on the fronts?

Agree that there's no need to take your foot off the brake pedal to activate the hold function; you just need to push-through (give an extra push, a bit further/harder) on the pedal after the car has come to a halt and hold will be activated. I don't think it is related to the angle of your foot - t...
