A bit further (Bristol) but I’m using Autotrilogy (Damien) for my 992 in March. Full detail, PPF and ceramic coat on top. https://autotrilogy.com/ PPF AND Ceramic coating! Why? As mentioned previously, preparation is key. Personally, if you maintain the paint correctly, you should be ok. Stone chip...

Re: Touchless Wheel cleaning
I have two cars to wash, my Macan and a VW Polo. Both cars are 'fettled' in the Spring i.e. paint prepared and cleaned and then polished and sealed so washing is easier. I use the filtered water for the final rinse and , of late, taken to filling a watering can with it as it seems to wash away the f...

Dr Leather is my favourite. I wipe my seats once every 2 months and you get the new leather car smell all over again!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dr-Leather-Advanced-Cleaner-Conditioner/dp/B00DU7LZN6/ref=pd_aw_sbs_263_1/261-6200270-1708120?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00DU7LZN6&pd_rd_r=2312318c-01...

Re: Cleaning wiper blades
Avoid cleaning wiper-blades with paper towels... it removes the edge off the rubber blade. Micro-fibre cloth is best for the wipers. Crumpled newspaper is best for the glass. Both parts need to be clean for optimal performance. Porsche recommend only water is used, ie no rubbing with anything. From...

Re: Touchless Wheel cleaning
Since I final rinse with filtered water I no longer dry and see zero water spots even when washed in bright sun. New to this so please forgive, Is filtered water readily available? There's a good (long) thread on car cleaning - the filtration options are well discussed on there. Thankfully I live i...

Re: Check out this 4k Macan build documentary
I have just watched this on my 4k TV and it is certainly impressive. The way the robots move and assemble is unbelievable and the whole factory seems so clean. Thanks for posting Invested in a 75” Samsung 8k tv over Xmas.......it looks pretty spectacular on that! You're right, I could see it from h...

Cleaning wiper blades
I came across a video on YouTube ref cleaning wiper blades that surprised me and it works. WD40 sprayed onto an old sock or old micro fibre brings off all the debris and seems to recon the rubber. Works a treat.

Re: Cleaning leather tip
We've been here before. You are not cleaning the leather, just the protective coating applied to most leather in cars since the late '90's. I found the easiest ad quickest method is to take a clean shoe polish brush (£3.00 from Tesco not a 'detailing'brush £9.00 from Detailers for the same brush), w...
