Re: Alloy wheel insurance
Always check the policy covers 21” and diamond cut. My OPC offered me 3 years alloy and tyre insurance for £399 total. No Xs and more or less unlimited claims. This was better than what some other third parties were offering at the time. Claimed on 1 tyre and process was very easy. Photo of tyre dam...

Re: Car detailing
Have a read of the FAQ for Gtechniq and gives you some insight on how things work.
There are other manufacturers that do similar too.

Re: Porsche Car Connect APP
Forgive me if I'm wrong but isnt it a pretty pointless app? My service expired on the anniversary and didnt think it was worth renewing for £100 for a year, particularly as I never used it. I agree VanB. Nothing exciting but list is below for anyone interested. 1st year is free and then it’s £99 pe...

Re: Which Nav version do you have?
I see no reason why the database would not be the same irrelevant of having connect plus (I have) or not.
I expect if OPC is updating for you then they will have to order the latest database updates from Porsche.
I would think they are using an older database based on your screenshot Dandock.

See my post using below link which may be of help. Dec 2016 GTS. And then the update to latest pcm done last month. This is the latest PCM 4 update available. The nav database you will see has remained the same as I do the database updates online myself. https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: Hey!
Thanks for the welcome everyone! Must say it’s a distracting showroom to be in so I can see plenty of future earnings going their way  I just missed out on May build slots so waiting on confirmation of a June slot. Hoping for delivery in July all being well. Current spec I’ve come up with is -...

Re: Passanger seat electrics dead!
I have seen this on an Audi Q5
Happened after it was cleaned / hoovered and someone caught the wiring under the seat and disconnected a connector.
It was a simple as that. Any cleaning happened since it worked last?

Re: Ex Porsche Chauffeur/Taxi Vehicles
A full refund is in order here.
I would be very disappointed with a dealer when presented with all the evidence that they don’t do the right thing and potentiallly keep a customer.
What they have done imo is very wrong. The full refund is a minimum I would accept.
Hope you get this sorted.

Re: Wheel Cleaner
There is no need to use a wheel cleaner if the jet wash gets it all off. After a period of time brake dust will stick to the wheels and using a a PH Nuetral wheel cleaner (iron and fallout remover) may be required. You will see the little black dots stuck on the alloys and you do not want to rub the...
