Re: Wheel Centres blistered
Same problem for me. My summer wheels/tyres went into storage in good nick for the winter but came out heavily blistered. Changed by OPC under warranty. No quibbles from them. Common problem but shouldn't happen. Porsche need to use better quality materials.

Re: Drove the new BMW M5 today
Never driven a M5 but I've seen a lot of videos and ready many reviews The issue for me about this car is that there seems to be 100's of permutations of settings for suspension, acceleration, gear change etc, etc........ Who has the time to do this I just want to get in the car and push one button ...

Re: New car ordered
OPC said it would be a 99% change so that seems like a full update rather than a mid term cosmetic change. Maybe Porsche have been pushed into something more than they’d like to do at this time in the Macan’s life based on the recently revised Q5 and good reports on the Stelvio and the Volvo XC60.

Re: New car ordered
Don't want to put a damper on your new order but I was at my local OPC yesterday and was told that the Macan facelift due later this year will be very significant. OPC didn't go into too much details but did said that the dash will be fully electronic a la the Panamera and new Cayenne and we'll see ...

Re: Changing dealership
Make a holiday of it and go see Richard Graham at Porsche Belfast. Very friendly team there and all were genuinely excited when I went to pick up my 991.2.

Re: Formula 1 2018
How many times do we hear "this track (name almost any track) has no or limited overtaking places"? CHANGE the TRACK!!!! Why do we need a qualifying session? Just put the names in a hat for starting positions on the Sunday and eventually the best driver/car combination will rise to the top...

Re: A rare find
Talking of an expensive old Porsche, I've just watched an episode of "Classic Cars". I think it's a Discovery channel. It shows old cars in the US. The presenter of the show is a car collector and he had a 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo S "flat nose" (headlights are similar to a 968(?)) ...

Re: Belfast OPC opening event
MCDK - make contact with Richard Graham at OPC Belfast. Couldn't have treated me better when I traded in my Macan for a 911. He also gave me a tour of the whole place when I visited the new showroom with my 8 year old nephew just before Christmas. My nephew wasn't a Porsche person before (Ferrari, L...

Re: Reversing camera lens - dirt magnet!
Bigboyrolo, my 911 is a daily driver and it’s filthy just now but the camera is still useable. I doubt if it would be if I still had the Macan. I do like the camera. There must be a better place to locate it on the Macan: maybe higher up on the spoiler?
