Re: Elon Musk in hot water again.

People said the same about Steve Jobs, and when he was ousted Apple all but collapsed, and when he came back it became the richest company in the world.

Re: Transfer box failed

A fair point. It would be interesting to know if anyone has successfully challenged Porsche to replace a failed transfer box outside warranty under the UK's six year consumer rights protection laws, which, from my understanding, are intended to cover exactly this sort of unexpected failure.

Re: Halogen H7 upgrade.

After market HIDs have been known to blacken the reflectors of the standard headlamp in a fairly short period of time. I'd steer well clear.

Re: Paint to Sample (PTS) Macans

I've never been much of a fan of green, although this looks pretty good on the Macan. But one of the reasons I avoid green, living in rural surroundings, is demonstrated in the second image. Look how well camouflaged the car is against that leafy background.

Re: 3 months in - Macan S Petrol and squeaky brakes

Another example of nonsense on the net.

The age old fix for brake squeaks on disc brakes has been a tiny smear of high temperature grease on the back of the pad.

But in your case I'd have the dealer look at it. It's under warranty so they won't milk you.

Re: Sat Nav Frustrations...

Not much help I know, but a lot of sat navs suffer this problem. Sometimes you have to force it to recalculate if you get the feeling it is doing something stupid, ie turning off onto a narrow lane when you know that the major route will get you to your destination in about the same time. This is wh...

Re: Driving over 2000 revs - not so easy

Usually you don't. You might detect slightly different revs on tickover, higher temperatures under or around the car when you get out, slight smells, maybe cooling fans running. All this is quite normal. For an 'active' regen though, you will get a message up on the dash telling you to drive at a mi...
