Re: Cayman GTS Ordered

Ah, so it all might be academic then! I'd stick with the interior if that's what you really like as that is where you sit in the car and see all the time. I have the Turbo interior in the Macan. Stupid money but I love it! I'd trim the cost if it was me though, by deleting LEDs, rev cam, sport suspe...

Re: Cayman GTS Ordered

Be cautious of removing the 18 ways unless you've had a very long test of others (at least over a weekend) and are certain you don't need them.

(re my post on page 2).

Re: Sensitive sensors?

These are the only other volume functions I'm aware of, in the PCM under Home button/OPT button/Set Sound - Volume: – Traffic announcements: Set volume increase for traffic announcements. – Navigations guidance: Adjust the volume of navigation announcements. – Speed dependent volume: Volume is adapt...

Re: Silverstone

VanB - did you discuss four v two wheel drive with your instructor? I know yours is fwd, but reflecting on your comments re not finding the limit during your session I wonder what the difference might be. I was driving the C2, also on a damp track, and there were times when it was rear end twitchy o...

Re: Silverstone

Thanks for the report VanB, you obviously had a great time but also learnt a lot and met your objectives. I did too, but I wasn't pressed into doing the fastest laps possible, and that wasn't what I really wanted out of the session, but it sounds fun though! PEC is an amazing facility and it's great...

Yes Arif, that’s gawksome, fantasmagorical! Clearly ordinary dictionary words don’t cover it! Looking forward to seeing it! And the permanent smile on your face.

Re: Cayman GTS Ordered

Nosmo - I went for PDK, firstly as I think it does a great job and secondly because, apart from the all too brief fun moments, stirring a manual box gets a bit tiresome 90% of the time. You can have lots of fun with the PDK in 'manual' or with the paddles and keep both hands on the wheel. I also wen...

Re: Sensitive sensors?

There's this, in the MFD:

Adjusting volume of warning signals and ParkAssist
Loud
Medium
Low

I'm not aware of a setting that reduces or mutes the music when alarms come up though.

Re: Brakes clunking when cooling down

Yes it's normal, particularly if the last part of the journey has involved some heavy braking. You'll also get noises from the exhaust system as it cools down. Turbo charged engines with catalysts generate very high temperatures in the exhaust system and it's normal to hear metallic noises as it coo...

Re: Hello

I think, but not definite, that each time the key fob button is pressed it transmits a new frequency that the car interrogates and accepts if genuine. This prevents someone recording any previous codes and attempting to use them again. This is for key entry, not keyless. Keyless signals from the key...
