By Request - PEC GTS thoughts
Er....you're not supposed to be able to lock the wheels - if you do you have no braking at all. The point of ABS and associated systems is to provide maximum retardation without locking the wheels. Apologies if I have misunderstoodwhat you were saying. I drove an S at the PEC and thought the brakes ...

Childhood dreamcar
Hi FerdieTickled to see the G15 poster - I had the same poster on my garage wall until recently. The Ginetta was my dream as a teenager and after a false start with one in my early 20s I bought one in 1995 and competed in it doing sprints and hillclimbs for 5 years, eventually selling it and moving ...

that ever recurring question of weight..
Whilst we're on the subject of useless information, I was slightly surprised to see the specific power output of a petrol S at 113 bhp/litre is exactly the same as my saab 9-5. Thought it would be higher. My 1969 single seater manages 131 bhp/litre and is on carburettors. Don't think the engine woul...

Macan Order - Delivery
Nope - his is a petrol S too, with a very similar spec to mine. So I have taken your advice and emailed Porsche GB to ask for clarification, and we'll see what response I get. I will let you know.

Macan Order - Delivery
Hi JKN. Many thanks for your very helpful reply. I will email Porsche GB and see what they have to say. I have had regular contact with Portsmouth; my SE has been helpful but unable to give me a clue as to when I might get a car. Ironically, I introduced a mate to the Macan after I had ordered mine....

Macan Order - Delivery
Hi JKN. I'm interested in your experience as I ordered my petrol S just a month after you and still have no idea when it might arrive. Is your OPC Portsmouth by any chance? Looks like contacting Porsche GB might be worth doing.
Cheers, Zinzan.

Macan Order - Delivery
As goron says, it varies wildly. I ordered my petrol S in February 2015, with an estimated delivery date of end of March this year. No news yet though, and the OPC cannot say whether it will arrive in Q2 or Q3 (and maybe not even then). A mate of mine who ordered a petrol S in June from a different ...

Alternatives
If only I could find one - all the petrol S Macan's I've seen for sale are more expensive than I will be paying new. Seems like negative depreciation........
