Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

It was a choice of either washing the cars or jet-washing the dog piss from the side passageway.

When it's sunny outdoors, I'm not allowed indoors unless I have a broken bone or I'm bleeding.

And when I'm bleeding, I'm allowed no further than the utility room.

Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

Spent a lot of Monday washing and waxing both cars (my other half expressed a wish to "snow globe" her car after I finished, which is basically her way of asking me to wash hers too). I'm learning that "snow globing" doesn't really do much to remove dirt from cars and I have to h...

Re: Dog Guard recommendations for Macan

Simple.

Use a TravAll

https://www.travall.co.uk/porsche/macan ... rd-tdg1463

Easy to fit and very secure and you don't need any hooks. Just fold the rear seats down, place the guard in the right place and put the seats back - job done.

As modelled by my mutt.

Re: A question for the Aussie forum members

Not according to my GTK app. You can change the display of the speed limits/fuel consumption, but I don't think the speedo is covered - at least on my antique Macan, modern ones might be different.

Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

Well, could have bought a slightly better used one, that's true.

I made the mistake of telling my other half about this. Now, there's very little chance I'll be able to spend this on myself...

Re: A question for the Aussie forum members

Tippex over the letter 'k' and you end up with mph. Simple enough and very fuel efficient too.

Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

I got home last night to find a letter from Land Rover Finance waiting for me. Turns out that they over-charged me for my final settlement figure (which I thought was a bit high, but put it down to some kind of buy-out penalty). A cheque for £942. Always nice to see an unexpected windfall. And an ir...

Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

The other day, my memory button somehow forgot it's memory - after pressing button #1, I promptly had my face rammed up against the windscreen.

I've now had to go through the rigmarole of finding my comfortable position again.

Re: The Random Chit-chat Thread

I couldn't agree more. I observed a total eclipse once when in Cherbourg harbour some years ago. A most eerie experience, everything went totally quiet and even the birds stopped singing as the total darkness swept in and by. If you ever get the chance to be in the direct path of an eclipse, then y...

....but it does go back to my own view of the hypocracy of hybrids......which carry on with petrol or diesel engines for a significant part of the journey. Either we ban fossil fuelled passenger vehicles, or we don't. They either pollute, or they don't. Or maybe hybrids are OK because they only kil...
