Re: Macan Turbo tyres

I specced 20" rims, it looks as if there's barely enough room over the front brakes for 19". Are you after more comfort or less punctures? You can still spec 19" spare wheel for the current GTS so standard 19" wheels will still fit. It's 18" wheels (that used to give the be...

Re: Gen 3 wheels on Gen 1 Macan S

No idea whose car that was it was the first I found online with the GT Design wheels. I paid the Option fee to upgrade from these to Spyders. Wish I had not now, spyders look good but are a pain to clean. They are actually called "SportDesign" wheels, and I chose them for my Macan because...

Re: Gen 3 wheels on Gen 1 Macan S

Thank you for welcoming me. Firstly, I spoke to the service manager at two separate Porsche garages. Both said that the RS Spyder wheels are the only endorsed 20” version for a Gen 1 Macan. But they couldn’t offer any technical reasoning. Secondly, I was of the view that all 20” wheels were 10J and...

Re: Macan T - Papaya or Carmine Red?

They are both not the most popular colours so first and foremost select the one you like best. Then if you have an eye for resale select the one that will appeal to more buyers which will be the red. Orange has a limited market and dealers will reflect that in trade in values. I actually saw a Papa...

Re: space saver tyre/wheel

The rolling circumference of Macan wheels are the same regardless of nominal wheel diameter. So if the space saver is for a Macan it's OK. The reason the rolling radius of the wheels is the same is that smaller diameter wheel centres have tyres with taller side walls. As Scooby has said, 18" w...

Re: Different Tyres Fromt & Rear? Problem?

Have you tried e+tyres? Currently quoting £252.99 per tyre, fitted for Pirelli’s. Relatively small premium over Goodyear is worth it to not mix types and also have better rolling resistance and wet performance in my opinion.IMG_0578.jpeg Thanks for that. I hadn’t seen them before. Frustratingly the...

Re: Different Tyres Fromt & Rear? Problem?

If you've already been advised to replace the rears by your OPC, it's likely that just replacing one tyre would result in too big a tread depth difference across the axle. Porsche recommends changing both tyres if there is more than 10% wear (you might need to check the manual to see if that figure ...

Re: Instrument re-program

I suggest you read the attached thread. https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13185 It might be worth photographing the oil change and service interval screen when you take the car in for the upgrade or for its next service. Then if there is a sudden change you can show it's part of the upgr...

Re: Warning Lights, Dashboard Like A Christmas Tree!

Something similar here. I had the car parked up for 12 days during cold spell. On getting going the warning lights came on but the car drove normally. It was booked to an Indy for other issues so went there today and added this to list. Diagnosis two failed ABS Speed Sensors. Quoted £470 plus VAT t...

Re: Over air update added LDW and deleted personal settings?

As Skyway has said, LDW is standard, at least it is on Gen 1 &2. Maybe like a lot of us you turned it off. It then stays off. Your PCM mid life crisis may well have turned it back on. I wonder if, for some reason or another, the PCM has rebooted and this is why everything has gone back to ex-fac...
