Re: Hi! Just joined looking for a Macan

At the moment, Martin,, there is an element of crystal ball gazing in the answers to your questions. The Gen 3 versions have been announced and are on the configurator but, apart from magazine reviews of the GTS, nobody has actually seen either car. The new S has the same engine and power output as ...

Re: Air Suspension

As Col has pointed out, the adaptive damping comes from PASM (Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management). Unlike some other manufacturers' systems (e.g. Mercedes) the dampers are separate from Air Suspension. When I bought my first Porsche SUV (a Cayenne) the Sales Exec said you only need Air Suspensio...

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control

ACC is the best thing since sliced bread. Been using it for nearly five years in my Turbo. I always have it switched on, the “greyed out” look means that the safety braking feature is active even if the cruise speed is not set. If on say a Motorway your habit is to get close to a vehicle before ove...

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control

I was originally going to have Traffic Jam Assist on my GTS but it got withdrawn. I've got ACC primarily for the Emergency Brake Assist and Collision avoidance. ACC good points: In slow moving and stop/start heavy traffic it reduces stress. It ensures that if you have to make an emergency stop that ...

Re: Filling air

With Macans that do have a spare wheel an air compressor is supplied by Porsche. The spare wheel is a collapsable type and needs to be inflated prior to use. Been there had to do just that Hence if you have a spare wheel you have an onboard air compressor, no spare, you just have the can of sealant...

Re: Engine Control Fault!!

I had a similar problem with my 2015 SD: full details below. https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8702&hilit=Engine+Control#p180152 As you're only getting the "Engine Control Fault" warning, it may not be the same thing. Get your OPC to see what the car thinks the fau...
