Re: Driver’s mirror retraction issue
Same happened to mine after it was whacked by a speeding white van driver in a narrow lane. The impact broke the indicator repeater strip and the mirror would fold all the way in until it touched the window trim. As mentioned, there is a "stop mechanism" (it may just be a plastic pin) in ...

Re: Driver’s mirror retraction issue
It happened to my drivers mirror, started to hit the glass/trim when folded. No obvious signs of impact/damage to outer casing or the glass. OPC Solihull had to order a complete new internals for the unit, as the lock stop mechanism had failed. All done under warranty in my case. Perfect! Many than...

Driver’s mirror retraction issue
My driver’s mirror is not retracting as it used to. It now doesn’t stop until it meets the window trim. The passenger side mirror is unchanged. Albeit I have an extended warranty my OPC are trying to suggest/prove that it has been the victim of a trauma ie been moved(!) despite there being no substa...

Re: All weather tyres
+1 I understand the argument re stopping distance under certain temperatures but, like you, I struggle to see that the weather in most of the U.K. is consistently within their threshold for a sufficient amount of time to make it worthwhile. As their performance drops above that threshold are they ac...

Re: Creative on-street charging solution
I’ve just had a look at a report from Haringay council. It says under the Highways Act 1980 section 1X, it is unlawful for any person to run a wire or cable across a public highway. And goes on to say that the type of cover would not be allowed as it is a hazard. Advice - perhaps unsurprisingly in ...

345DA176-5F61-41EE-8AF6-A2E96DB04699.jpeg Saw this in Bath yesterday. Owner clearly has worked some sort of fudge via a standard infrastructure cover. Have they employed a redundant portal? And ignoring the status of cable cover how exactly is this possible, practical and legal. And if legal, what ...
