Re: Torque vectoring PTV
I saw some data on another forum saying their Macan with PTV over a few years had minimal wear on their rears, nothing out of the ordinary. Which I guess makes sense if you dont track your car. My front and rear brakes wore at the same rate and all were replaced together so PTV+ doesn't cause any i...

Re: Torque vectoring PTV
I have PTV+ on my SD. I wouldn't say you can notice a difference, particularly in normal road driving. I specced it for the claimed better performance in ice and snow and have no complaints, performance-wise. However, for the last couple of years, I have had a groaning sound coming from the rear in ...

Re: How to finance
One way to reduce the cost of financing is to keep your car for a long time! My 2015 Macan SD cost £60,500. I paid cash. It is now worth about £26,500 (at least!) so it has depreciated by £34,000 or a little under £5k per year. I keep it under extended warranty at £720 per year and keep it in good s...

Re: Extended warranty changes
Does the price vary? Or is it a standard price? The prices are unchanged. - https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/porscheservice/vehicleinformation/approvedwarranty So the removal of the 111-point check for warranty extensions is a saving of £218. Two years is £1440 or £1725 with Porsche...

Extended warranty changes
I see that Porsch have changed the way their extended warranty works (at least since I last extended). You can now get one for 1, 2 or 3 years. And the 111-point check is no longer required if your car is currently under warranty. The dropping of the 111-point check is the removal of a great annoyan...

Re: MACAN TURBO 3.6 2014 - ENGINE IS NOT WORKING
The second hand value of a 2014 Macan Turbo is in the region of £30-40. Yours is low mileage so let's assume £40,000. The insurance company would repair the car if the cost of repair is 50-60% of the market value. Since the car was written off, we can assume the cost of repair was more than that. T...

Re: These Warning lights suddenly came
These warnings came all of a sudden today :( ABS/PSM, traction control, parking brake, gearbox failure, engine control fault, start-stop deactivated, AWD deactivated. Gearbox failure is the deadliest, it locks the car in gear 1. Is it really possible to have multiple systems failure at one go? Or j...

Re: Porsche slow to BEV Macan
Probably some truth in that, although the shortage did cause them issues too. But I think the main reason is that they are just selling like hot cakes. said it before and I’ll say it again, if you want an electric car Tesla really are the only players. At the moment everyone else are just also-rans...

Re: Wheel speed sensor / bumpy gear changes
Is this the ABS sensor? I had one fail recently which caused a whole cascade of errors. The garage said that they needed to change all four wheel sensors rather than just one. Perhaps the fact that you only changed one is your problem?
