Went and camped back in the '90s to a 24hr m/c race. Next morning the circuit was open and we rode around 'race stylee'. Exiting Pouhon, I was faced with a LR Defender coming the other way - it hadn't registered that the circuit was open in both directions!
Cleared the hangover pretty sharpish!

Re: Macan SD replacement - where next?
Must admit, owning both a Q5 and a Macan, the lack of rear legroom in the Macan is a bit of a let down. Initially went to look to buy a Cayenne after having a loaner when the Cayman was in, but got seduced by this brand new SD sat in the showroom which was the same price as the used Cayenne.

Re: SPORT CHRONO OR NOT
I'm in the 'it's a waste of time in an SUV' camp. Sport is enough of a performance upgrade in my SD, whereas the Sport+ feels, well a bit silly. All revs/noise to no great effect.

Re: Niggles at 2 moths
I've had comments from pals (JLR workers as it happens), that my boot release sounds broken! It's much louder than our Q5 admittedly.

Re: Top Gear
Must admit, saw it was on and for the first time thought about the presenters and decided no, I won't waste my time with it. It's an ex-show, dead, deceased, bereft of life, shuffled off from this mortal coil.......

As a motorcyclist, I just assume everyone else on the road is an incompetent dickhead and is out to kill me.

Re: Crazy Main Dealer Trade in offers !
I keep an eye on OPC values, knock £7k off and use that as a weather vane for the value of my car. Currently looking like £40k for a £65k new, 21 month old, 13k miler (SD). That assumes that the current 'dieselaphobia' isn't adding extra grief? So, at £1,200 pcm, this is currently the worst depreci...

Re: GTS exhaust tips
SD, 19 months, 12.5k miles, black tips, no corrosion.
I've mentioned this before, but my car rarely gets washed and when it does, I coat the tips with silicone spray - seems to work?

Re: Re-progamming DME Control Unit
Interested in their response (if any) Tom, as I'm also reluctant to just be led by the nose into this mod without guarantees etc.
