Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

Welcome I’ve had my Turbo since new in 2016. A Turbo PP is a rare beast good luck finding one. I would rather have a standard Turbo rather than a GTS which has a smaller engine and less power, but does have the trick suspension that is also in a PP. A GTS may have rubbish 8 way seats should you con...

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

However, if you buy privately and the car still has a months warranty for example, you can extend straight away without a 111 point check. So that may be the way forwards. It’s only if the warranty has expired you need to wait 90 days before renewing. Also, the warranty is invalid if you buy from a ...

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

My plan is that if I identify a car I like but it doesn’t have the warranty in place - but is eligible to have, I’ll get the pre-warranty check carried out at my expense. This will be a good way to see what the condition of the vehicle is, and if it flags up work needing to be done - well it’ll eit...

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

I also wanted a turbo, but when the GTS became available, I went for it. A word of warning is that if you buy one without warranty, it could cost quite a bit to get the warranty. I had to have the 111 point check in order to qualify for warranty, I needed a new battery, new wiper blades and the timi...

Re: Just joined the forum - shopping for a Turbo!

They drink a bit, so be prepared. My GTS does around 22mpg, so the turbo will be worse.

Defo get sports exhaust and air suspension, most other stuff is standard on the turbo. Carmine is the best colour, Sapphire the second best.

Porsche warranty is a must at this age, trust me, I know.

You retrofitted them yourself or the OPC did it for you?
He did and more recently a new steering wheel and gear change gaiter too.
Yes I did.

Re: Gen 3 wheels on Gen 1 Macan S

If it helps, I sold my old Gen 1 GTS 20” R/S Spyder wheels to a guy who owned a gen 2 S. they fitted no issues. I don’t see why all 20” wheels would not fit on every Macan. However, are you aware that the rear wheel arch spats/extensions are required for 20” wheels and larger? The smaller wheels bei...
