Re: Tyre Pressures in winter
Someone's been scouring the interweb! I would have thought anyone who studied physics or chemistry at school would have come across this very simple pressure law formula. Being so simple is why I always remember it! I would imagine Porsche relate their Tyre Pressure Fill Info data to this for...

Re: Tyre Pressures in winter
Toddie, I'm with you in this one. I've combed the internet and read lots that took me back 40 odd years to physics lessons and some more about purported benefits of tyres filled with nitrogen but am no nearer an answer to the question: if a tyre should be inflated to 33psi at 20C, what pressure sho...

Whereas I have had to hire a car for 24 hours and am not sure if I have to walk to get it. My appointment is tomorrow.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:33 am Just as an aside, I was given a pen and asked to sign paperwork for the courtesy car etc on my recent visit to Porsche.

Heard it again. Perhaps coming from front left. Might be a shaft or coupling. Only have heard it on right lock.

Re: Tyre Pressures in winter
As stated above the Fill Info screen gives you what is required as that takes the temp at the time of reading into account. If the pressure at 20 degrees one day is correct when the ambient is plus 15 it will also be correct the next day of there is a cold snap.

Re: Transfer Box
The noise in mine is like the branch of a tree has got stuck beneath the car and is dragging. Probably lasts for less than two seconds. With 50k miles it maybe connected to uneven pad/disc wear, possibly some scoring and a high spot. What do the discs look like? Whichever, they need changing. I hav...

Re: Transfer Box
Still no Courtesy Cars. They suggest I book a waiting appointment for investigation. Thinking about it whilst I see if I can produce the symptoms on demand. I found the knocking on mine seemed to be more pronounced once the car had been driven for a while if that helps. It was quite subtle though s...
