Out of interest, do Halfords and Black Circle mobile tyre fitters carry balancing machines?

Re: Order lockdown advice!
Just a point about the difference in ride heights being quoted. The 10mm difference is between a GTS and an S with air suspension. The air suspension ride height of an S is 10mm lower than an S on steel (PASM makes no difference to ride height). Until Gen 3, the difference in ride height between a G...

Re: Tyre Comfort Calculator
Peter - From what you’ve said here, either you have misunderstood how the TPMS works, or I’ve misunderstood what you’ve said! The system is ‘temperature corrected’. That means that it will set a lower pressure in cold temperatures to achieve the correct tyre inflation, ie sidewall deflection, so th...

Re: Tyre Comfort Calculator
It’s extraordinary how often this question is asked and answered isn’t it Steve? Front: 8.5 J x 19 ET 21 with 235/55 R 19 tyres Rear: 9 J x 19 ET 21 with 255/50 R 19 tyres That might be where the 8.5J requirement being quoted comes from. I do know tha...

Re: advice on buying porsche new
The email purports to be from Porsche.de. In the ten years I've been a Porsche owner I don't ever recall receiving an email from Porsche.de.

Re: TPMS - where is it?
After about fifteen minutes driving, if you rotate the right hand roller on the steering wheel you can bring up a display of the current tyre pressures. The readings need to be treated with a dash of caution because tyre temperatures will vary in different positions depending on the driving you've b...

Re: Tick from indicator.
I could never hear anything from the indicators on my Gen 1 SD but I can hear the ticking on my Gen 2 GTS. I can't remember what the Cayenne was like but at my age I suppose I should be grateful I can remember owning one
