Re: Downsized from previous Cayennes and love it

Although a biker I've not seen bikes being assembled but I have had the guided tour at Zuffenhausen in Stuttgart where, at that time, all Porsche petrol engines were being assembled. I'm with you on running in, it's not 'old school'. Tolerances and quality control may have improved over the years bu...

Re: Re-progamming DME Control Unit

"Whether that results in less chance/need for DPF regen work - I guess only time will tell." That the Sport mode can't be maintained at a steady m-way speed is a retrograde step IMHO. I would use Sport to get the revs above 2k for 10 mins 'now & again' to get the DPF cleaned a bit. I ...

Re: Tyre wear?

I just had a puncture from hitting the kerb, and since i only had 2-3mm left of tread on my tyres - done 23K miles - i may aswell get all 4 changed anyway. I am debating over two models:- Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV. I know the 4S is good however - has any tried the Pilot ...

Re: Downsized from previous Cayennes and love it

Does anybody bother with a 1k mile oil service any more? Regardless of engine bench testing and warranties gut feel tells me it’s worth it. I did oil changes on both cars after the running in period and then annual changes. Contrary to what sales staff may tell you the engines are NOT bench tested ...

Re: First Porsche and newbie

Welcome to our friendly forum! ‘Corners not too badly’. Don’t think I’ve ever ever heard it described like that before! Quite a few agree with your comment about it needing a few more horses, but there’s lots of torque though which makes up to some extent. Lots of helpful advice on here if and when ...

Re: Oil Useage

Mobil 1 SAE 0W-30 as per engine bay sticker (not 0W-20 as in the Drivers' Manual): After reading this thread I got the manual out and it was not clear (to me) on what/which engine oil adding that I should check the engine bay which I did and did not see a 'sticker' - where is it? Left side front as...

Re: Hankook 21” winter tyres

Link is to a set of 19" Michelins? Some may be put off by the Hankooks not being Porsche 'N' rated. Does this affect the warranty? Probably not, although we can’t always be certain if Porsche wanted to get picky over some issue. But if these tyres were on the car at sale or trade in it would b...

Is there anything I can do about it, will Porsche retro fit a new tank?
How many litres will it take to fill from zero on the fuel range remaining? (Beat me to it tracky!)

Looks ok to me. Think the grey strip is the rear valance beneath the number plate.
