Re: My First GTS spec

I can't believe some of you wouldn't spec a system designed to save your bacon over some macho sense of "being able to drive properly". That's honestly the biggest amount of nonsense I've read in a while. Not sure macho is the correct word Sense of control might be more appropriate Anybod...

Re: My First GTS spec

Like most discussions on this forum, people's opinion will not be changed by what they have read. When it comes to LCA, there is one occasion where it has a greater field of view than the door mirrors and that is joining a motorway from the slip road. You can check in your mirrors and look over you...

I drive a van every day without a rear view mirror, I set my mirrors up and pay attention to what's going on.

Re: Adaptive Sports v Comfort seats

Has anyone got the 8 way GTS/T seats? If so how are you finding them. I would argue, as we are all different shapes, what others think of them is not relevant unless you swop full body and shape statistics. Far better, as SAC suggests, to have done an extended test drive with your choice before con...

Re: My First GTS spec

I can think of many instances with the many idiots on the road who do dangerous lane hopping and undertaking, LCA/BSM is a crash safer that no element of constant monitoring of mirrors would provide the same coverage. How can it do a better job than the driver using the 3 mirrors available and the ...

It'll probably throw a flag up. You're not going to be able to have a remap and it go unnoticed.

You could try contacting either - MRC (Banbury) they have amazing knowledge of VAG tuning. DMS are nextdoor to a Porsche specialist in West Bromwich (think their head office is Southampton?) Also Litchfield (Tewkesbury) are getting a great reputation now as well. I’ve used DMS before with BMWs - th...
