Re: Engine Control Fault

I always thought the correct title was GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter). Looking on the net to see if I was right or wrong, I came across this article. https://www.krosfou.co.uk/blog/72_all-you-need-to-know-about-the-gpf-the-particulate-filter-for-petrol-cars.html They seem to be saying that taking...

Re: Daytime Running Lights Rear?

Just skimmed through this topic from the start, its a classic example of spurious chatter and noise that drives me up the wall! The OP, a prospective Macan buyer asked a simple, reasonable, question then there were 8 posts with useless info about half a dozen other brands before Steve (⭐) actually ...

Re: Car Insurance ( Again)

Had a shock this morning from my insurer "Direct line" to say they would not offer to renew my policy. When I enquired why, they said my vehicle (Gen 2 Turbo) does not comply with their criteria, plus no doubt my age ( just turned 79), although that wasn't mentioned. I did say it wasn't a...

IIRC you need twenty posts to be able to send a PM so Mak may well be unable to access the message you've sent him.

Re: Why do I bother...My Porsche App problem

I’ve had the car from new since August. While the app shows the manual and allows me to book a service none of the vehicle details are available, templates are there but all the values are blank. It’s been back for a masterclass and they deleted and reinstalled saying may take a day or so to come t...

Re: My Porsche app receives extensive update 29/01/2024

The new version didn't offer use of a password to log in. I had to type in a series of digits to match those appearing on the screen and, after three or four goes at this, I was then sent a six digit one time code to log in.

The vehicle update was much quicker though.

Re: Theft Incident - Need Advice on Auto-Lock Feature

Unless you've disabled mirrors folding on locking in the PCM then the car was almost certainly unlocked. Personally, I not only check that the mirrors have folded but also that the LED in the driver's door is flashing. I've never experienced a car just locking itself after being shut down. Do some c...

Re: Miami Blue

Welcome to the forum. Being a cynical old sod, I question the SE's motive in trying to put you off the ex demonstrator. Yes Miami Blue is a marmite colour and it certainly stands out "in the flesh" on a Macan. On the other hand, depending on how long you plan to keep the car, who knows wha...
