Re: Different Tyres Fromt & Rear? Problem?

To those that have asked/mentioned current tread depth int the rears. When I say advisory it was only because they’re running lower than the fronts and maybe at the level when some drivers might think about. They were about 3.5mm each so still have plenty of wear left of them but appreciate that if...

Re: Different Tyres Fromt & Rear? Problem?

Isn't it necessary to look at the difference between the two rear tyre tread depth? IIRC the difference has to be less than 30% or both have to be replaced.... is that to stop transfer box or differential damage? Yes it’s 30% difference across the axle. Probably not damage but more likely additiona...

Re: Different Tyres Fromt & Rear? Problem?

You could get that repaired, it's not in the sidewall. Looks like a self tapper, normally not very long . This not repairable, it is too close to the sidewall. Repairs to punctures like this can only be done in the central three quarters of the width of the tyre. To the OP, if money is an issue rep...

Re: Water ingress not sorted!

Is it only ever the front passenger footwell? I'm not too sure on the Macan, but other VAG cars in the past have been susceptible to water ingress via the ventilation system. It's due to the seal around the air filter plenum chamber not being fitted correctly. Water from the windscreen and scuttle a...

Re: Leaf Blowers for Drying???

I’ve got a big boi. It certainly impresses the neighbours when I’m standing on the drive waving it about and pointing it everywhere on the car….. The mini version is currently on Ultimate Finish for £175 although there are cheaper versions on Amazon. It blows hot air so is more effective than a cold...

Re: Driving in snow

Many years ago I was walking home from work on a day we’d had a heavy fall of snow. We lived at the top of a hill. At the bottom of the hill were lots of abandoned cars that had failed to make any progress up the hill. As I walked I noticed a single pair of tyre tracks going up the road and wondere...

I’m with Andreas on this. AFAIK Porsche have never done any OTA changes to any Macan on anything except the mapping database.
