Re: Macan GTS 2022 Fuel Gauge
Interestingly, 160mile range is roughly the point at which I would refuel before setting out. Hi Peter, Even if popping out to the local supermarket (5 mile round trip)? Cheers, Hi Simon, My answer to that is that I use my wife's Tiguan for those trips. As her car runs on Sainsbury's finest, I'd pr...

Re: Macan newbie owner
Unless Gen 3 Macans differ from Gens 1&2, If you are on a gradient, "hold" comes on when the car stops with a normal brake application. The extra prod on the brake pedal is only necessary if you want to engage "hold" when the car is on the level. BTW the brake lights are acti...

Re: Macan GTS 2022 Fuel Gauge
A lot will depend on the nature of the 40 mile run. Steady state 65-70mph on level ground uses less fuel than 40 miles in heavy traffic and varying gradients. Interestingly, 160mile range is roughly the point at which I would refuel before setting out.

Re: Macan newbie owner
I'll never understand why you would want stop/start turned off. It saves fuel and emissions, both of which are ultimately good for you. I normally leave stop/start on but there are three situations where I turn it off: 1. When I'm at the front of a queue at a roundabout in busy traffic. If I see a ...

Re: Macan newbie owner
To add to Jon's comments, the situation is worse because you have an SD. The engine is more thermally efficient than a petrol and so takes longer to warm up. It doesn't matter what temperature you select it will not warm up any faster.

Thanks for the pics, Tracky. I know that 996s were out of fashion for a while, but that 996 GT3 is pretty cool. 😎 Absolute heresy I know but the first picture of that car in this thread reminded me that I once owned a car with two rear wings. Scan1989-021.jpg I'll get my coat   A Cossie...

Re: If the Wing Comander wants a Macan.......
It has halogen headlights. Other may see you coming at night in that colour, but you may struggle to see where you are going! :geek: I agree that's what the description says but the pictures show "four spot" running lights which did not come with halogens. I think that the lights in the p...
