It's music formats. Like you have MP3, FLAC and Apple Lossless are are higher quality formats used when converting CD's.

Someone here said that it can take quite a bit of tweaking to get Bose to sound it's best.

Maybe those who have played with the Bose system wouldn't mind posting their settings so that existing and soon to be Bose users (me) could be saved the time in trial and error.

That is what I was wondering when I created this thread - could most people notice the difference between the two formats?

Unless it was so blatantly obvious I doubt I could tell the difference.

I know that FLAC has a very good reputation but wondered if anyone has compared the two and can notice the difference.

Seems it only takes a couple of days travel to and from the ports. I always thought it would take much longer.

Is it just a calculated guess?
